1.Make sure that the intake and exhaust systems of the engine are clean, free of carbon deposits, oil, foreign objects. Replace the air filter according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
2.Check the cleanliness of the oil supply/discharge pipes to the turbocharger, make sure there is no carbon deposits, traces of coking, or foreign inclusions. When in doubt, replace with new ones.
3.Change the oil and oil filter according to the machine manufacturer’s instructions.
4.Check the condition of the exhaust manifold flange (for cracks or damage). If in doubt, replace with a new one.
5.Install the turbocharger onto the exhaust manifold, making sure the gasket is pressed correctly.
6.Connect the drain line, then fill the turbocharger with clean oil through the inlet hole. At the same time, slowly rotate the shaft by hand.
Attention!
1.Do not use sealant when installing the turbocharger.
2.It is strictly forbidden to rotate the turbocharger housing alone.
3.Finally assemble all the necessary wiring. Do not tighten the turbocharger oil supply connector. Turn off the fuel supply. Turn the engine over with the starter until oil appears in the inlet fitting area. Tighten the connector. Crank the engine with the starter until the oil pressure warning light goes out.
4.Start the engine and while idling make sure all connections are tight and there are no leaks anywhere. Let the engine idle for 15-20 minutes.
5.First 500 km after installation of refurbished turbocharger. The engine cannot be given full load mileage.
